The Unitree R1 brings humanoid robotics into a compact, lightweight and highly accessible platform. Designed to combine agile movement, intelligent interaction and open development capabilities, R1 provides an exciting foundation for exploring humanoid robotics, embodied AI and human-robot interaction.

At approximately 1.23 metres tall and weighing around 29 kg, the R1 is significantly lighter and more compact than many full-size humanoid platforms, making it well suited to education, demonstrations, research environments and robotics development. It features 26 degrees of freedom, including six per leg, five per arm, two in the waist and two in the head, engineered around low-inertia, high-speed internal-rotor PMSM motors and industrial-grade bearings.

R1 incorporates an 8-core high-performance processor, binocular cameras, a four-microphone array and integrated speaker for voice interaction, with built-in Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. Its fully open control interfaces provide access to joints and sensors, with support for mainstream simulation platforms allowing developers to take algorithms from virtual environments into the physical world.
