The Unitree As2-W X and As2-W EDU combine the agility of a quadruped robot with the speed and efficiency of integrated wheels, creating a highly versatile platform for demanding real-world robotics applications. Designed to automatically adapt between wheeled movement and legged mobility, the As2-W can travel efficiently across roads, gravel and uneven ground while tackling stairs, steep slopes and significant obstacles.
With a lightweight design of approximately 25kg including battery, the As2-W features 16 degrees of freedom, industrial-grade crossed roller bearings and high-performance joint motors delivering approximately 95 N·m of peak joint torque. Its 7-inch wheels allow the platform to reach speeds of up to approximately 6 m/s, while its articulated legs provide the ability to negotiate 30cm stairs, slopes of around 45° and obstacles from approximately 40cm up to 80cm depending on the movement scenario.
The As2-W can support a maximum standing load of approximately 150kg and a continuous walking payload of approximately 16kg. Its 648 Wh / 15,000mAh battery provides more than 3 hours of continuous unloaded operation, with a stated range of more than 30km. Both X and EDU configurations feature an 8-core high-performance CPU, HD camera and industrial-grade 64–128-line LiDAR, with ISS 3.0, GPS, 4G, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 support, and the EDU configuration can be expanded with additional high-performance computing hardware including NVIDIA Orin NX.
