Subsea Tech ASPIROV Robotic Water Tank Inspection & Suction Cleaning ROV

The Subsea Tech ASPIROV™ is an ultra-portable, 2-in-1 robotic system engineered for the visual inspection and sediment cleaning of potable, industrial, demineralised, and fire water storage tanks—without requiring tank draining or human confined-space entry. Weighing just 12 kg and operated by a single technician, the ASPIROV™ seamlessly switches between free-swimming open-water navigation and bottom-crawling suction cleaning, removing floor sediment via an external pumping module while the water asset remains fully operational.

The Subsea Tech ASPIROV™ transforms underwater asset maintenance by combining the agile maneuvering of Subsea Tech's Guardian Micro-ROV with a high-torque motorized suction skid. Engineered specifically for water utilities, industrial processing facilities, and specialist maintenance contractors, the system addresses the two biggest pain points of water storage management: costly operational downtime and dangerous confined-space human entries.

In Inspection Mode, the robot uses five magnetic coupling thrusters to swim freely through water structures up to 100 meters deep, capturing detailed visual data via dual Pan & Tilt HD optical cameras backed by high-output LED arrays. When sediment build-up is detected, the robot attaches to its motorized wheel skid in Cleaning Mode. Riding on drive wheels across liner, steel, or concrete surfaces, the ASPIROV™ vacuum-extracts floor sediment directly out of the tank via an external surface pump and umbilical hose—keeping the water asset live and preventing thousands of gallons in water loss.
